The week before he turned eleven months Gus started insisting on feeding himself. He will freak out if anyone but him handles the spoon. We think he is pretty skilled with a utensil given his age.
Gus has also been pulling a fish face quite a bit lately.

Am I Special?
I don't have any new news for the blog. But we do have some great new photos. Les has become the master (a title he's given himself) at the Photo Booth feature on his computer. So, I decided to try to do a few really good ones the other night, to see if I could compete with his greatness. There was one (that I will never want to show anyone) that Les told me if he had seen before we were married he would not have married me. I really do look like a 300 pound down sydrome girl. And I won't go into detail but I may or may not have peed my pants while taking these photos. So, I hope you enjoy.
News From Vaun and Anya
Everyone here wishes Kate a happy birthday---Nicki and Owen and Henry and Grandpa. Grandma was at the party and had fun helping. The little girls loved the dancing and the party was a big hit!
We haven't heard from Tyson for a while. He tried to call a couple of nights ago, but we couldn't get to his call fast enough. Nicki's been carrying the phone with her everywhere she moves in the house.
We talked to MelRae and David in New Zealand and as you can read in their blog, they're having a great time making a big difference already. They really are amazing people.
Dad is going to go in for a biopsy early in June. His PSA is high. (blood count having to do with the prostate) and he needs to check for prostate cancer. Don't panic, prostate cancer is one of the best cancers when it comes to survival. The biopsy is a simple procedure that should just take fifteen minutes in the doctor's office. He's been told he can go back to work soon after, but we're going to talk him into coming home. Right now he's watching the Jazz play their second game against San Antonio and I'm guessing by his groans that they're not doing so great.
I (Grandma) am going to be selling at the Violin Institute again this year. If anyone wants to help and earn a few dollars, let me know. It'll take place the week of June 18th.
Good luck to Christy and Les at Ikea tomorrow!

Oh, I guess I was supposed to type my blog entry here. I just figured out how to do that. Thanks, Mark, for setting this blog up for the family.
